Yay,my kids are Republicans!

And right now our Border Patrol cops are out-gunned by the narco-terrorists in Mexico, BECAUSE THEY ARE hindered by rules of engagement that leave them little latitude to do their jobs.

I edited your statement a little .... The native Americans didn't have the resources but they at least chose to try and fight like hell. We, on the other hand, have all the resources we need.....we just don't choose to try very hard.

BTW: Did McCain talk about immigration and borders at all during his speach? I honestly can't remember. Was this topic mentioned at the convention?

I'm just glad it's over so I can watch the Packers - Vikings on monday night (but then there is that part 2 of the obama / ORiley interview monday)

sigh.....I don't know where to start, but the ignorance displayed here is scary. Sorry Bill, I respect ya man, but jeeze. Have you ever been outside the US? To revert to isolationisim is the wrong way to look at our role in this world. (I do agree with illegals and protecting our borders, FWIW, but the function of the military is not to rebuild our roads, or policing our legal citizens.)

As for VP, I failed to realize that you are THE source on how we arrived on this planet. OR that you can say exactly WHEN life begins, so you can feel better about ending a human life before it is born. (Yes, I believe that life begins when the sperm and egg combine and the cells then start to build a human by themselves.)

I hope that you keep your promise not to vote, that may be the best way you can serve the good people in these United States.

And one further thing: My Sea Ray Sundancer 340 is the perfect boat for my family, at least until the next perfect boat comes along (There ya go Wes!!!)

Ignorance to you makes sense to others.

I never mentioned isolationism. Why is it when people speak of bringing all military home, and closing our antiquated bases, they think this means we are isolating ourselves? Are we solely defined by our military presence? To me, THAT is ignorant. We have come to believe it is our mission to be the worlds police just because we won a few wars that NEEDED to be fought.

And who says the function of military cant or shouldnt change? So by logic, what you are saying is, because we have a military, it should be used only for waging war and keeping peace around the world. Maybe it's time we look into protecting our own borders and work on our infrastructure instead of wasting so much $ around the world. We are, luckily, on a great plot of land in the world. Hard to invade or hit us with anything major. THe military has many engineers, techies, grunts, doctors, and even teachers...all who are valuable assets for working our our infrastructure and society...something that has suffered dramatically since we pour so many resources into being out of country.

How we arrived here? I certainly dont believe some god dropped us here 4000 years ago and said good luck. Sorry, but I kind of believe in evolution, having a few friends on the front lines of this subject, one in specific who works with ice cores and coral samples. Science is usually right...not always, but the track record is provable. Cannot say the same about any FAITH.

Abortion is a hot button with everyone, but I dont believe anyone has a right to tell a woman what to do with her body whatever I believe. Especially when she is raped. If you want to know, I say abortion is fine until the 3rd month, as this is when I feel it is now on the cusp of being viable. Before that...its a clump.

No, I wont be voting, and it isnt to serve anyone except myself. As a matter of fact, I believe I am doing more good by not voting, than many people who I speak with or write back and forth with that simply vote by party line and find an excuse for their vote.
"He seems like a nice guy...he is well spoken...she seems level headed....he is black and its time to have representation..."
Oh how many times I have spoken to people who vote, and they have voted along party lines and yet have not a clue what the issues are:smt100

I respect ya too, and of course, this is all opinion about sensitive subjects. I respect that people can chat about such things, and still go have a beer. Trust me, you are no different than some friends I have, and yet they are still as such: friends. It is actually fun to discuss this stuff to me. :smt001

She is definitely good looking for a politician. I bet she has a tramp stamp:grin:

That's what is great about our country, we can voice our opinions. What is also great is that we have checks and balances. What stance the VP takes on abortion isn't important to me. Last time I heard, she doesn't make that call. A group of judges appointed over decades and decades, approved by congress, can make that call. While it can make for slow change, it also keeps fashion at bay.

Here here!

I agree that is the beauty of America. We can all voice opinions. . .even diametrically opposed opinions. . .even with raised voices. . . and still have a beer together afterwards.

It is my opinion that a fairly large portion of the political types in this country have lost sight of that fact. Sadly, some of the loudest demagoges on both sides of the political fence are making a living by promoting political divides. Fortunately, the leaders of both major parties have been talking against this divisive culture for some monthes. Unfortunately, this has been mere "talk" that I have not been seeing acted upon at lower levels.

And why is it a "fence" anyway? How can it rationally said be that every issue from education to military policy can be cleanly divided between red and blue? For many individual topics there are more than two positions that can be taken.

Anyhow. . .I am going to have a beer and watch a tropical storm roll through my backyard.

Too bad it wasn't their call to make. Read the ruling. You don't have to be a scholar of constitutional law. Logically, it makes no sense. Too many logical jumps. The courts are there to interpret laws already written, not to create new rules, rights, or requirements from thin air. That's the job of the legislature. Here's a simple test to tell if something is BS or now. When they say "It's the law of the land." and there is no law, it is BS.

Best regards,
Frank

Jack Wheeler on the O-Man

JACK WHEELER is a brilliant man who was the author of Reagan's strategy to break the back of the Soviet Union with the star wars race and expose their inner weakness. For years he wrote a weekly intelligence update that was extremely interesting and well structured and informed. He consults(ed) with several mega corporations on global trends and the future, etc. He is a true patriot with a no-nonsense approach to everything. He is also a somewhat well known mountain climber and adventurer.

Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler

The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit.

No resume, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the world works, nothing but abstract empty rhetoric devoid of real substance. He has no real identity. He is half-white, which he rejects. The rest of him is mostly Arab, which hehides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names as a way to triply proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya . Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively. What he isn't, not a genetic drop of, is 'African-American,' the descendant of enslavedAfricans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn't a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners. Slave-tradingwas the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.Let that sink in: Obama is not the descendant of slaves, he is the descendant of slave owners. Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah. It's something Hillary doesn't understand - how some complete neophyte came out of the blue and stole the Dem nomination from her. Obamamania is beyond politics and reason. It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject Christianity yet still believein Original Sin, transferring it from the evil ofbeing human to the evil of being white. Thus Obama has become the white liberals' Christ, offering absolution from the Sin of Being White. There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws ofhis can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it. The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him: Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurdThank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain Christian and are in no desperate need of a phony savior.

His candidacy is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any thinking American.:smt021
