Yay,my kids are Republicans!

We are discussing the differences of the two parties and how that will effect our sea rays.

Not really but I will repeat what I said in another post. I realize this is in the holding tank so continue if you must but realize that you can argue your beliefs all you want but you more than likely are not going to change the person that you are argueing with views (and don't cry because someone does not like what you said and decides to take away rep points). We all may disagree on politics but we all agree on Sea Rays (well most of us anyway). There are several political boards to argue polictics if that is what you like to do, lets keep this board to our love for boating. Thanks for your help in this matter.
 
Oh well! Easy come. Easy go. There they are, on display for the taking. The only downside is that I can't see the comments and make fun of them. Oh, again it's, "Oh well."

Wesley, the rep points are childish, so whatever. But more important is you state "no complaining allowed" What the hell do you think your two posts are??? Sure looks like complaining to me. Also, make sure you are not avoiding politics because you dont like what is being said, seems pretty biased
 
Some of these off boat discussions are, in a way, boating related. Like in the book thread I read the capt. Cook book and thought it was amazing. No Sea Rays in it, but it lent itself to boating enthusiasm. In the same Way as finding out in this thread that Sarah helps her husband bring in the days catch on his boat in Alaska. Just spreading boat love in the holding tank.

This is where all non-Sea Ray specific posts should go. i.e. Political, Personal, Jokes, etc

What is the point in directing non SR posts such as Political, Personal, Jokes, etc to the holding tank if they're not allowed there? The discussion and possible arguements will be no worse than those that pop up in any other section.

I did not say it was not allowed or it was banned or that it would be removed or deleted. I just said have I (me personally not CSR its owners or moderators) ever mentioned how much I hate it when we talk about politics, someone asked me to explain, I explained why I felt the way I did. That and the PMs I get where someone gets offended etc which you guys don't get to go through each day. But thanks for pointing out the classification under the holding tank I have never seen it before.

I have a twisted sense of humor. This was amusing with the first few "She hunts!" "She fishes!" and "She wants to drill" posts. Then it got better with the, I guess you could call them the hand wringing posts. But this last turn is the best. Thanks!

Wow. That was a different turn for this thread.

I view this thread as far more positive light than the Green Ball discussion in the General Forum. I think I only got called one name, and I think I like that name better than my screen name anyway. . . .

I view threads like this as an opportunity to share opinions with those whose main focus is NOT politics, or books, PC's or whatever. And yeah. . .I got tired of reading the Palin love-fest, so I put up a different view. As I said before. . .everyone sharing the same view is simply boring.

Wow,just wow. I come back a couple of days later and my thread is at the top of the list with almost 10 pages of responses. Unbelievable.

To the moderator(s): I put this thread in the holding tank because I didn't see a political forum listed. It was a proud moment for me and I wanted to share it with a some INTELLIGENT people. Not some knuckle dragging slobs who spell on a First grade level. My apologies if I created a problem.

No one in my household trusts Obama. He is an eloquent speaker but in our opinion-doesn't have the character or experience to lead our country,especially with the current crop of problems we face. One issue that really makes me personally question him is the "present" status during many votes in the Senate. What the hell is that about? Was he scared? Couldn't make up his mind? Whats the deal there?

I feel very confident with the McCain/Palin ticket. Johns character is impeccable. I look forward to Johns speech tonight(Sara's was very inspiring). I know with these two that I will still have the right to keep and bear arms,eat red meat,tell my kids that marriage is"one man,one woman" etc. etc. etc. I could go on and on but I think you get the picture.

Oh,and to the individual that made the comment about my daughter coming home"seventeen and pregnant": I believe that when you bring a child into this world-you are responsible for that childs well-being,education,nutrition etc. until they are adults and can take care of themselves. My kids have no free time where they can go off unsupervised and get into trouble(I was once a teenager too).My daughter is in a professional dance company and has performed in many national venues(Disney,Carnival cruise lines,Macys Thanksgiving parade-just to name a few) and my son is a cub scout,takes music lessons,plays coach pitch baseball etc. I will literally put myself in a early grave to make sure they get off on the right foot and don't end up in trouble. My kids are MY responsibility-not the publics and I'll be damned if I would expect the public to shoulder the responsibility.:smt013
