    2002 Cummins 6BTA 330hp diesel straight shaft.
    No post crash fire. Low fuel?

    full fuel, full oil, a fire would have killed us.police were instantly on scene ,transport was by helo for John and Ambu for me.
    something happened on climbout at about 1000ft. cant remember a thing except a lot of pain 24 hrs later when i woke up.
    We got well trashed but lived.Heck, 1000 ft ,85 degrees down bubble, 120 kts to 0 kts in the blink of an eye.

    amazing your friend is ok. there is a puddle pf blood just outside the pilots position on the ground. from the looks of it i bet it was from his head. you can lose a lot of blood in just the time it takes a medic to get out of the truck and grab his bag. glad you are both ok.
