Heading down to Bradenton this weekend Saturday-Wednesday.
Looking for recommendations for drinks, dinner or just plain walking the docks in the area.

Have been to the Longboat Key Marina years back and the main Sarasota Marina but am looking for a few others to maybe just stop and have a drink on the deck and talk boats.

Member of the Hammond Yacht Club part of the Lake Michigan Yachting Association.

Thanks

Dan

Thanks
Will look into it.

Thinking of going to Cannons on Longboat and renting a 16-18 center console for the day
if the weather is co-operative.

GF is already down there in Bradenton
and looking for different things to do.

Dan

If you have recprocity to other Yacht Clubs go to Sarasota's. It's a brand new facility (multi million dollars) and a 7 minute walk to St. Armands Circle. We boated there and stayed the weeknd in August and had a great time.

Thanks
We should have reciprocity
Lake Michigan Yachting Association

Of course taking the GF to St. Armands is going to cost me dearly I'm afraid!!

Dan

St. Armends isn't that expensive as long as you keep her drinking so she can't go into the expensive stores. I herad Bird Key is veru nice but also a little stuffy. I belive a sport jacket or better is required in all areas to dine where most YC's you can go to the bar area in shorts. Sarasota's is definatley worth the trip.

Shenanigans

Just checked out the the Mangrove Grill and the River Dunes Marina.
It is for sure on our 'to do' list for this weekend or next week.
Thanks

Now all I have to do in finagle a boat ride from a CSR Member
Trade for a wash down, maybe!

Dan

Twin Dolphins Marina in Bradenton also has a good restaurant/bar onsite - Mattison's Riverfront.

We've rented boats from Cannon's in the past and they've been great. This year we rented from these guys as they were a better deal for multiple days than Cannon's. They worked out great for us as well.

tn shenanigans

Went to the Mangrove Grill and the Riviera Dunes Marina
Thank You for the recommendation!

We had a great meal, great service and a great location.

We will be back there in Jan and Feb when visiting!

Also went into the Bird Key Yacht Club
They issued us a complimentary 14 day pass.
A little stuffy, but you can sit outside in shorts and the staff was very friendly.

Sarasota Yacht Club was closed on Monday so that will have to wait until January's visit.

Once again CSR Members come through with the best information.
Had a great 59th birthday in Sunny Florida!

Thanks all
Dan

Glad you enjoyed your trip to Florida. I'm originally form Kankakee, Il but have been in St. Pete for years. Maybe next time your down we can try to get you out on the boat for a water tour.

Bucit

I will be back in Jan and Feb
I might just take you up on the offer.
The GF has a place in Bradenton.

Thanks Again
Dan

When you get back to Bradenton look us up at Twin Dolphin Marina. We'll have the refreshments cool for ya! :smt038

Stay on "G" dock if you can.
