xravenx - this is the weekend

Way to go Colts. Quite a game wasn't it. Colts defense made the plays when they had to and the offense stayed patient. Dungy's adjustments and his no-panic demeanor made the difference. Bears defense will be a real challenge. Should be a good game.

Bear's Fight Song

OK Everyone has 2 weeks to practice

Manning will need to figure out where he is going to 'hunker down'

All he is going to be seeing is Blue and Orange in his face!

Well, well, well...........Paytun and the Indy Irsay's made it to the SB...........just remember, the curse of the Colts real QB, #19 Johnny Unitas is alive and well...............at least for 2 more weeks

GO BEARS!!!!!!

What, you guys didn't think I would chime in

no, knew you would eventually have something to say...and it wasn't as bad as I expected. Your wounds must be healing nicely!

After watching both games yesterday. The Bears played well. Even Grossman. I'll give Lovey Credit, great game plan but even better. The emergence of the next great QB. Even though Manning's stats and performances have lifted him to the upper eschelon, getting to the big dance will solidify him as one of the all time best. Now if he can win it look out. I think his headyness and toughness yesterday to lead his team back was great. Congrats to both teams. Knowing the giddy feeling from our Seahawks going to the dance last year it's a fun ride. Go Colts!

We live about 20 miles from where Grossman's from and played high school football (Bloomington, IN). He had a great HS career and many in the area are split between Colts/Bears.

Personally, I wanted a Saints win because of Brees ties to my alma mater Purdue. He did special things when he was there and what he's done for New Orleans has been amazing. Colts-Saints would have been a no-lose situation for me.

I have faith in Manning but I just had to see it happen in a big game too...but I know the negative hype won't go away until he WINS a SB. Shame but it is what it is. My probelm is waiting the stupid 2 weeks for the game.

Ha, you should have read the posts I had ready to go, all I had to do was hit "submit" but I love this forum and I was afraid of getting booted off.

Todd..........remember the feeling you had last year when the Seahawks went to the SB...........take that feeling and multiply it 10 fold, that is what it feels like when your team wins, to bad SeaRayDad won't get to feel it

GO BEARS!!!!!!!

It is not the Colts I dislike, it is the owner................. You have to keep in mind that they were MY Baltimore Colts

I will say this, Manning and Dungy are great guys, the NFL needs more like them. I hope they win a Super Bowl but not with the Irsay owned Colts.............sorry, you asked.

GO BEARS!!!!!

Before anybody says............"Baltimore stole the Cleveland Browns" let me set this up. Irsay snuck out in the middle of the night after years of running the Colts into the ground and bolted to Indy, he took our logo, colors and history. If Modell didn't move the Browns to Baltimore he was most likely going to LA. Cleveland got all thier records, colors, the Browns name, a new stadium after just a 3 year wait. When Bob Irsay died, Baltimore inquired about getting the records, logo, colors, ect. back, Jimmy Irsay wanted 25 million, great guy huh?

GO BEARS!!!!!

I understand your feelings. I'd feel the same about the Kraft family if they'd actually gone through with moving my beloved Patriots to Hartford!

Bill

I remember when all of that talk was going on................I think you guys made out o.k.

We sure did! We have a great owner who isn't afraid to spend his own money. (as opposed to demanding the state build him a facility like some do) I (obviously) don't know the man personally, but I do know that he and his wife are very generous philanthropists, and quiet about it too. I guess he's pretty well respected among the rest of NFL ownership as well. An all around good human being.............even the players like him!

Part of the problem lies in the league. The reasons you state above are probably why the Browns legacy stayed in Cleveland. The Cleveland guys don't think much of Modell like you Irsay. I can understand your feelings but still I find it a little hypocritical but not being in your shoes it is hard to say what I might be thinking.

John,
That's alot of anger and hostility you're carrying. You need some therapy! You won a superbowl for gosh sakes! what better vindication can you have!!!
