Are any of you guys down that way seeing this ?.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — With the ice finally off the Hudson River, an Albany-based World War II warship has headed south to Staten Island for repairs.

The destroyer escort USS Slater is the last of its kind afloat in the U.S. and is a floating museum from April through November. It was supposed to head south in February to be dry-docked for extensive repair work. But thick ice downriver kept the 70-year-old ship in its upstate port. It finally left its Albany dock Sunday morning, towed by the tug Margot.

The dry-dock project is funded by private donations through the website www.ussslater.org .

Museum officials tell the Albany Times Union (http://bit.ly/1mPzGD1 ) the ship is expected to be back in Albany in early June to celebrate the 70th year of its commissioning.

I have my eye on the harbor just about everyday and have not seen it yet. Will keep my eyes on the lookout and take pics if I catch it going by.
