Well, Boys and girls... I won't have much time for you guys for awhile... I took a new position with a new company this afternoon. It will be a completely new experience. I will be working in the tooling department for a very large manufacturing company. They have a very high tech facility which I am excited to get acquainted with. It will be hard to leave the other company as I have been with them for 7 years. They were great and got me started on my engineering path. They were a great stepping stone but I feel that I need to advance my skills and move on. I'll still be around just not as much as I used to. The other downside to the new job is I will have a little less time for the boat. I do plan on finishing out this week and taking an entire week next week on Aftica... Maybe when I get through the first year my schedule will be better. Thanks guys for everything...

WISH ME LUCK!!!:smt100

Congrats Jason & Good Luck with the new job. :smt038 . :smt038.

Change is constant! That is good for you! one thing I have learned is that you get very stagnate when you just work for one company your entire life and moving up in pay and rank does not happen. I change every 3 to 5 years. Each time better job and better pay. All though this past Dec I made my last change. I might be there until retirement, 7 years is not that far and the company is only 3 miles from the house. I would have to get tons of money to give up this!

Be thankful that you are skilled enough to be able to have these opportunities for change. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do great! I was very happy and comfortable with the funeral home I worked for and made a huge change including a move a couple years ago for what I perceived as a better opportunity with a different firm. Without doubt the best move we ever made!! Sometimes the best opportunities are the ones you weren't expecting....

Congrats Jason! Change is as good as a rest. And I think we all know you well enough to know you won't disappear from here or the water!

Cheers!

Congrats, at least this will temper your posts per day! Do well my friend, do well.

Sounds like a great opportunity for you Jason! All the best and hope that you get to a healthy balance of work/play sooner than you think. "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"!!

Wow, I don't know how to thank you all. A lot of very kind words and great advice. I will keep you updated on how it goes. What's life without a challenge right? My deepest gratitude to all of my CSR brothers and sisters! Happy boating!

Good luck in your new adventure!
