I know it's a long shot but I only need the cord (as per Raymarine "it's discontinued") but willing to buy the mic if need be.
The part # R49144 thanks

I did, also the date is from 2013. Believe me it's discontinued just 1 reason why I like Icom over Raymarine. I found one here .

Joe,

If you read the entire forum thread, the last post from the Raymarine moderator said the cord is available on August 25,2015. I sent mine to Raymarine a couple of years ago and had it replaced by them.....

Steve, I personally spoke to 3 employees at Raymarine on Monday, that confirmed it is discontinued. I'm mounting it onboard the dinghy as I don't want it as a back up on the big boat. I will purchase another Icom to match the one I have on the bridge.
I have no confidence in Raymarine VHF radios as everyone I've owned seem to last a few years before they fall apart.
the moderator did state they where available as of Aug.2015. See their communications stink!!!

I replaced mine this summer. Raymarine told me it was discontined so I went to a local Raymarine distributor and he ordered it for me, had it in 3 days.

I just received a new cord from Raymarine last Friday for my Ray 240 VHF. Not sure why some insist it was discontinued. Pick up the phone and call them.

That's what I did. Just didn't' want to get in a pissing contest on this site. There are a lot of know it all's. I have 2 spare headsets because I have an upper and lower stations. Both have been repaired by Raymarine. Have a nice day.

No pissing matches I don't know how many times I need to express that I had called RAYMARINE and was told by 3 RAYMARINE employees including the service Dept the part is no longer available. I think at 49 yrs old I understand how to contact a parts Dept. I even gave them their own part number. Tell ya what, you guys get me one and I'll thank you on the Internet.

also, this is the reason I'm installing an additional ICOM M400BB on the bridge to complement the Icom M504 already up there (quality VHF) and not a Raymarine, that piece of crap is going into the dinghy.

SEE THIS RESPONSE FROM RAYMARINE. YOU CAN GO BUY AN ICOM AND JUSTIFY IT HOWEVER YOU WISH BUT RAYMARINE HAS ALWAYS PROVIDED OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THEIR PRODUCT LINE:

The Ray240 Handset Cable part number is R49144.
Raymarine parts may be ordered from an authorized Raymarine dealer or from Raymarine Order Services (603.324.7637).
It is generally recommended that Ray240 handset cable replacement be performed by Raymarine's Product Repair Center.

If you can disconnect the mic cord, you can complete the cord replacement yourself. It's a plug connection within the hand set.

Does someone on this thread still need a new Ray240 cord? I finally found my spare. PM me
