WTB: Electric Trumpet Horns

My horns are rotted out on the inside. I took them apart to see why the duck noise, and the metal diaphram inside was rotted out. After searching I believe the original was a Ongaro 10008. That is for my old 89, not sure if yours would be similar.

Make sure you angle horns so water does not settle in them - they need to be angled down a bit so water drains out.

If you have a boaters world in your area, check there. They are going out of business, and I just got a set to replace my fried air horns for alot less than West Marine...

West Marine is a joke if your looking to go cheap, or should I say pay a reasonable amount. I was in Rowboaters World the other day, I can see why they are out of buisness. Online sites are still cheaper than the 40% markdown!

I'll be making a purchase soon. Had some jerk in a fishing boat stop in the middle of our channel to get to our slip. I quacked and quacked and quacked. Never heard me! Probably had a mild heart attack when he finally turned around and saw me:)

So electric horns will be installed as soon as I can find some I like.

I had the same thing happen to me last year. Two guys anchored in a tin boat in the middle of a narrow channel didn't hear the duck either!:smt101 They were definitely surprised when we slid past them with about 6" to spare.
