Boat Info
2002 410 Sundancer, Monaco Edition.
Engines
3126 Cats.
I'm looking for all of the necessary framework/hardware for an 87 300 Sundancer camper back. If someone is parting one out, upgrading, or has one available for any other reason, please let me know.

Thanks!

I have the rear bimini frame in this photo. Might have some of the mounts and stuff but that's all pretty universal. Location may be an issue cuz I think it's too big to ship (its all one piece). If you have a friend or family in SE WI/Chicago to pick it up?

Your easiest avenue might be to contact a local boat canvas shop and have them make it for you. That way it can be made to your specs. I did that and was very happy with the finished product.

This sounds a little nuts, but I've been keeping my eye out at tag sales for industrial sewing machines so that I can play around with trying to make some vinyl and canvas items over the upcoming long cold winter.
I have zero experience with it, but puttering around with the boat is one of my hobbies.
BTW: I love the mooring cover in that picture of yours, and it would be on my list of things to try to make up.
Unfortunately, I don't have anyone out that way. I wonder what the shipping on that would be?
It may be worth it if you were willing to pack it up, I would gladly pay the shipping.
If not, I understand the hassle, and appreciate it anyway.

Thanks, yeah the mooring cover really works great for off season storage, before the shrink wrap goes on and after it comes off. I don't usually use it while the boat is in the water, it's easier to leave the Bimini and side curtains up instead.

Anyways, I'm not at all against shipping it assuming one of the carriers can take it. I'm guessing it's about 9-10 feet wide, when I brought it home from the marina it was hanging a ways out of my long bed pickup. That would be my only concern. I'll look into it this week for you. I'd certainly like it out of my yard and onto a boat, so hopefully there's a way. It was nice to have a top back there but it was too obtrusive when fishing and too large to remove and store every trip...for camping or cruising it's great though...

I was a little concerned with having something that big in the way, but I have plenty of space at my dock to keep it if I want to remove it for the day.

JMV

try Marine Consignment in Bohemia Long Island
they have a warehouse with all used boating stuff, I was there a few weeks back and saw about a dozen Bimmi tops. just measure the size you need you could probably pick up something cheap

Thanks! But I was there about 3 weeks ago, and they didn't have anything that would work.

Not looking like shipping is going to be possible. It's way over UPS, Fed Ex and USPS max dimensions, and that's before being packed/wrapped.

Oh well!
Thanks. I really appreciate you looking in to it. Too bad it won't work out.
I guess I'll have to keep looking for one locally.

No problem. I don't see myself getting rid of it any time soon so if you do come up with a way to pick it up or get it there, let me know.
