Hi, I belive I have the wrong sized nut on my bravo 3 Drive -
I went to take the first Prop nut off and it is not a 1 1/16" ( like the new wrench I have ) but a large nut. possible to be the 2 3/4"? with out any washers.
So to repeat: After the outer nut ( rear ) comes off the first Prop comes off.
There is no Washer after the nut and before the Prop is this wrong.? The nut is so large the corners hold the prop tight.
My parts list for the boat only shows the Prop. Anyone have a part breakdown?
Thanks John G.

There are no washers behind either nut. Both the front and the rear nuts are tapered. On this web site the nut for the front prop is stated as 1 7/16 which is the same size as mine ihttp://www.boatzincs.com/MERProp-Nut-D-mag.html If the front nut is as large as you say, it may be incorrect but then your drive is also eleven years old and maybe they used a different size back then.

Sorry I cant be of more help.

Dave

Thanks for the info, I bought that type zink for the prop thats why I was removing it. John G

To install the new Zinc adapter you only need to remove the Rear Propeller nut shown in the diagram below. My rear nut is 1 7/16 and my front nut is 2 3/4.

It is a good idea to pull both props to inspect for monofiliment fishing line and grease the prop splines...then retorque the nuts to 75 ft lbs.

Ok, I ordered the "Prop-thing" duel wrench its 2 15/16 Deep (1 7/16" width socket ) so it should be able to fit over the new long nut and the larger 2 3/4" nut.
Thanks all.
