Just what so many of my friends have been clamoring for, an overpriced 5 gallon bucket. Heck, it is even food grade, what a feature!!! Like every pickle bucket delivered to restaurants is not.

I guess the really stupid part is market research has likely shown people will buy it...

Pardon the Yeti misspelling in the header...

I could see buying the Yeti or Shurhold one (I do have a couple of the Shurhold ones, actually). If they have useful, compatible accessories, and/or have a cool or attractive design then why not? $40 for something that will last a long time is not a big deal. On-plane I am burning at least $2 a minute in fuel alone!

There was a cheap 5 gallon pail with an oxidized metal handle and cracked plastic grip on my boat when I took possession. It didn't depart the marina with me on the journey home...

I do enjoy these threads. You'd be hard pressed to find a forum where this type of topic is more steeped in irony. You know...a forum dedicated to premium brand yacht owners. :)

I'll start my Garmin VHF bashing thread as soon as I finish removing the perfectly functional West Marine VHF from my helm in the next few weeks. :):)

Really? What for?

Someone bought one of the Yeti buckets for me as a joke... because I have so much Yeti stuff.... Years ago I had this same collection fever for Sea Ray stuff.... hats, shirts, shorts, key chains, Hitch cover, towels, rugs, glasses... I had everything.... one day the dock neighbors showed up with a present... it was Sea Ray underwear.... I was then complete :)

Seems like this thread is going to quickly trend toward that "discrete nude sunbathing" thread I saw a few weeks back. I have a feeling us norther boaters are quickly reaching the tipping point here. Scary times...

That would be the Yeti Cans?

I bought my Yeti stuff off ebay at about 75%
Retail. Scratched that itch and satisfied the thrifty gene at the same time. :)

Got the bucket Xmas 2017 from my son and haven’t gotten it dirty yet. I’m tempted to clean my truck worth it but it’s too damn nice.

Dam that's sweet. In Tan too! I'm going to get the black camper lid to color match my boat. Perform "double duty" for a portable head.
