We were coming through the Lake of the Ozarks area last night around 8:00pm. A salesman at our local Marine Max told me he was at LOTO about a month ago and went on the 60DA they had in stock. Since we were close, I decided to swing by MM and see if I could just get a glimpse of the beast. Well I found it. It has apparantly sold, because it had a name on the back. We walked on the dock and looked at it from the outside....it was so HUGE looking....and absolutely beautiful . I would love to see the interior....at least I can dream...dreaming is free!!

I found this pic on Yachtworld of a 60DA for sale...it looks like a 48DA sitting next to it...and the 48DA looks small.

I have checked those out. I picked up one of Sea Rays brochures on the Yachts at a boat show this spring.... it was so impressive in person. I don't think we will ever have one that big on our lake.

Hey is that Dreaming or Drooling. :smt043  That is one sweet boat

Went on the 60 this past spring at MM Pompano. WOW is an understatement. That thing is spectacular. My 410 is nice, and I always thought Sea Ray built quality boats with quality suppliers, but I kept asking myself - is this thing really a Sea Ray? And the mid-cabin (owner's suite) is really out of this world. You have to see it to beleive it. Other than paying the bills for one, I really envy anyone capable of owning one.

The 60 is a beautiful boat....I must say that I like the cockpit seating in the new 55DA better. The table with the movable seating is very nice. We have a new one in our marina and I drool every time we go by it;)

The picture in the intro post is of a 60DA at Prince William Marine in Woodbridge, Virginia, where I bought my used 02 260 DA and 02 320DAs. A good outfit...but as I am now the philistine who bought his diesel 420DA elsewhere I spend less time knocking around the docks there with my tongue hanging out.
But I sure buy a lot of $2.35/gallon diesel from them.
This 60DA has seen little use. Interestingly, the owner previously ran a nearly new 55 DB, which I rarely saw move from the slip.
I do not believe there is much room to bargain on this one, but you never know. It probably cost 3 x what my house cost, so I will be staying in the 420 for the foreseeable future. My wife got to climb aboard and inspect the new 55DA--another really nicely executed Sundancer.

Skip, it's pretty interesting the number of boats that are keeping that 60 DA company at PWM. There's a brand new 55DA, a 52DA, a 52 sedan bridge, and a 48DA and that's just the big ones. And rather large inventory of other new boats. The 48DA has been setting in the parking lot for so long I think an immigrant family may have moved aboard.

I wasn't really all that impressed with the 55DA for the $1.6M large. The lines on the boat are pretty ratical.

This non-use just kills me...on the same dock where I saw the 60DA, there was a 48DA, that had the "winterized" tag on the back of it. So you know it has not been used this year. Maybe I should volunteer to "use" it for them

Greg,

I have always been amazed at the number of big boats that never move-but to each his own as regards usage..

Friends of ours with a 390MY burned 340 gallons of fuel to get to Coles Point from PWM and back--if I had that sort of cost per cruise hour I'd stay at the dock quite a bit as well.

We have looked at the 48DA--nice, but just not enough of an upgrade over what I have to consider pursuing.

Hope you guys are getting a lot of use out of the new one--sure is a good looking boat. Are you considering joining the CSR Inner Harbor Cruise 22-23 July?

I think the 60da at lake of the ozarks was damaged in the ice/dock storm. Another one is supposed to be coming too - going to Busch - the beer guy.

One question I think popped up before, but I cant find it. Searay says this is the biggest sundancer ever, wasnt there a 630 before. I know there is a 680 sunsport?? also.

W...the 60DA was named Asset Allocation....a local MM salesman said someone from the H & R Block family bought this 60DA.

http://www.searay.com/2007_sea_ray_yachts_60_sundancer.asp Jeff, Check these out. WOW!!

Pretty boat, but don't care a bit for the design/layout.
It's a cross between an express and a flybridge without the flybridge.
Like having to run a flybridge convertible from the lower station.
No thanks.
