That's a good point about the motors and registration. I'm sure every state could be different, but in PA, if it has a motor it needs to be registered (doesn't need lights unless you're out at night).

but I can't imagine even the biggest prick CO writing a citation on one of those
unless you were doing something else to really deserve one.

You might be surprised.... some of those guys seem to have a "chip" on their shoulder and are just out there looking for something to do. Don't give them a reason, you know? Most are good guys, but as in any profession, there's always some oddballs.
