Considering a trip to Worlds End this weekend. Looking for info on anchorage (hook, not mooring). Also wondering if it is pet friendly. We have a tender that we want to use to run to shore and explore a bit of the surroundings.

You have to call the Hingham Harbormaster ahead of your visit to reserve a mooring if you want one. I have usually been able to drop the hook between moorings in more shallow water. It does get crowded on nice weekends, so best to get there early if you want to drop anchor. You can take the tender to shore and walk your dog on a leash.

It's easy to anchor and is pet friendly, no need to call ahead if your using and anchor. On the Hingham side, there is a state park with trails and lots of room for a dog. I am planning on spending this weekend at Worlds End.

there are a bunch of boats there as well that will have no problem letting you tie up with them. My wife and I will go there to have lunch and feed our daughter (9months old now) which can take both of us to do now that she is off the ***.
