Hi. I am new to both boating and this forum. Recently I purchased an as is 1976 200SC Sea Ray. As expected the floor was soft in a couple of places. As I remove the floor I find extensive rot. Pulled an engine mount bolt and found it rusted along with wet wood on the threads. Can any of you give me information on hoe the engine mount wood is formed/put together? Next question how do you safely cut the floor away from the side of the hull without damaging the hull?

Tjhanks for any help theat you may be able to give me

To remove the shelf from the hull, a die grinder with a thin wheel would be easiest. Just be sure to cut so that you aren't cutting into the hull, rather leave a little extra and then grind it flush after the shelf is out of the way.
