I was looking at the inside of my transom where the outdrive comes through and it looks almost like it's a layered fiberglass construction where it is cut away for the steering clearance. Is this the case or is there wood in there someplace? It's a 86 Seville II 21MC (mid cabin) You can kind of see in the picture how the center is raised and it's kind of like that in the inside, it's thicker in the center.

Just thought i'd ask.

Your boat has a plywood core in the transom.

Maybe it was painted or something, It looked similar to plywood but was white like the boat.

Thx.
