I have a 2001 4.3 v6 sea ray 185 bowrider. I am trying to find the fuse box in the engine compartment because my engine will not start. Does anyone know where it is?

Have you looked in the manual? If you are going to do your own work/maintenance you need a good manual.

The fuse box is righ under the steering wheel to the right.
Back to your issue though, I am having a similar problem, tried launching last weekend and due to a dead battery it would not start (cranked at first, then died then the battery was dead so not enough juice to crank again). Replaced the battery and that's when the problem started, a loud click/clonk but the engine does not start. Talked with the service dept at Sea Ray of Greenville, they thought it was the solenoid.. bought the piece at $27 and replaced... same problem persits. A buddy of mine that has a similar setup listened to it and thought it was the starter... impossible to remove (at least by myself)... sooo that's when the boat went to the mechanic. The guy looked at it and he's saying that it could be as easy as replacing the starter or as bad as water in the engine due to a failed valve that can get damaged by running the engine hot... since I just bought this boat earlier this summer I don't know if the previous owner ran it hot etc etc... Should have the diagnostic by mid week next week and if you're interested I can tell you what the problem was....
