Won't crank

When I turn the key it sounds like it is going to start but doesn't. A friend told me he thought it was the fuel pump because when I sprayed starter fluid in the carb it started for a couple seconds. before I go buy a fuel pump I was going to check the fuse for it but I can't find it. Does anyone know where it is. Any other ideas on the problem would be appreciated

Check fuses on top port side of motor. Should be three. One for fuel pump. Change them out one at a time. Even if they look good. I see 2-4 of these a year out on the water. Boat just stops. Thefuses get old and get a small crack in them.

Anybody know where the fuse box is in the 185 bowrider engine compartment. I might have seen them but really don't know what I am looking for.

Check your owners manual it had a picture and location. I also sent you a pm
