Gonna be a great weekend of Great Lakes boating! Looks like the water is still in the 60's...though that was before the gales of September started this morning.

Just a couple more weeks before the process of fluid changes and prep for storage starts for me.

I have to say it was a pretty good summer for West Michigan. 1000% better than last year weather-wise.

We have been watching the weather for this weekend all week. Looks like its shaping up for a great early fall weekend. I do enjoy fall boating here in W. MI too much. We don't usually pull the boat until late October in order to get in a good amount of color tours along the river and lakeshore. This doesn't make my marina owner or winter storage guy very happy though. You couldn't be more spot on with your opinion of the weather this summer. Spent almost every weekend on big lake instead of ducking inland to avoid wind.
 
Owned my boat 4 weeks and slept 4 weekends aboard with the family. 4 weekends left of the season and 4 weekends planned aboard. Today its blowing 22mph, tomorrow drops to low of 46. I guess we can leave behind the lily pad.
 
Interesting summer on Lake Erie - it seemed like we got mostly light NE and SE winds which are great for us on the island. However, the heat and humidity reminded me more of Florida in the summer.

Unfortunately I'm getting ready for fluid changes ++ since our boat is rack stored and the season ends Oct 1st. Our rack storage agreement includes heated storage so the rest of the work like clean-up, etc won't happen til the winter.
 
I have to say I am a bit resentful that I had to work yesterday while the weather on southern lake michigan was in the 90's. Of course this weekend cold and strong winds. Boo hoo.
 
It's supposed to calm quite a bit tonight. Sunday actually looks pretty decent right now.
 
Yup. Great summer. 90 degrees in Toronto right now. Low 60s for the high tomorrow after the storms and cold front blows through. Looks like nice weather for a while though. Boat is coming out around Oct 20th though.
