This is really a shot in the dark. I decided to replace the switches on my 1983 270. When I pulled the panel, I found 2 wires not connected, but all switches have wires (granted some switches have multi-wires). The 2 wires not connect are factory wires and are numbered - 2 and 14.

I have worked with wiring diagrams and I know the PIA they can be. But, does anyone have the knowledge or resource to tell me what switch the #2 wire and the #14 wire go?

Thanks

Not without a wiring diagram. Do you have one? Link?

However, is there anything NOT working? If the answer is 'no', then they are likely just extra/not used or some change that a previous owner made over the years. Given you're approaching 40 years old, even with a wiring diagram, we could still be guessing since there has likely been numerous previous owners.

I went through the same process last year with my 360. I replaced all dash switches. I found a few extra labeled wires. I asked the same question and was told that they were got options available when the boat was built but not included in my boat build.
