my current plan looks something like this:
battery bank --> fuse --> switch --> 6 spotlight LEDs (underwater)
battery bank --> fuse --> switch --> 2 spotlight LEDs (intake vents)
battery bank --> fuse --> switch --> 6 flood LEDs (interior cup holder area)

also going to replace the existing interior lights with LEDs.

supplies:
wire (ground and positive)
inline fuse holders
fuses
switches
heat shrink tubing
electrical tape
zip ties
3M marine sealant

any advice or suggestions would be greatly welcomed!

I have replaced all bulbs on my 240DA with LED banks. Purchased from "SuperbrightLED.com". I actually did it twice as the first round of LED's were not bright enough in the cabin. The superbrights in either cool white (bluish tint) or warm white (brighter white) worked much better and are direct plug in's for the fittings throughout the boat. Only modifications I made were in the cockpit lights (where the bulb was longer than the housing) and the nav lights where new Attwoods (West Marine) were installed. I did leave the halogens under the swim platform. Using the superbrights kept me from having to rewire.
