The white plactic coating on the shelves in my Norcold started cracking up. I only turn the unit on when I am on the boat for the weekend. After using it all weekend and turning it off, it condensation forms on the inside as it warms up. I leave the door ajar and throw a terry cloth towel in the bottom to soak up the moisture. Never have any problems, except one. The cracks in the plastic coating on the shelves allows water to get under it and they have rusted. I can try to remove the coating and paint them, or I can take them to a powder coating shop and let them recondition them. I think that might be cost prohibitive.

So... I'm thinking that the CSR crew has lots of dead Norcolds laying around. Does anyone have a set of shelves for this (2.7 cu ft) unit that they might want to sell?

Thanks,
Michael

you might look at Home Depot or Lowes at their wire shelving and find a piece that coul be cut to fit the fridge....

Shoot. I would have thought that there would have been lots of these laying around in dead fridges..

No wire shelves..........but I did see your boat in the water at Bill's last Saturday, I was tied up to the T head of Dock of the Bay around noon.

I will keep my eye open for some shelves for you, may cost you a beer if I find any.

My RV fridge shelving suffered the same fate... I went to Home Depot and bought a can of epoxy spray paint for fridges. I sanded the shelves slightly, put several coats on and put them back in. I used the motorhome this past winter skiing all season and the shelves still look like new.
