So yesterday coming back to port and taking on some spray. I was using the wipers and noticed not the port and starboard units just kept going when I switched off. They both over heated to the point the starboard unit smoldered a bit and I quickly removed cover to remove one of the power wires. That shit the unit off and the port just magically turned itself off. I was moving the switches on off to try to get to stop with no luck. so this morning I am looking at them and turn the switch on each. Both work and turn off????
What do you think gives? Am
I leaving them on too long? Just looking for advice here. Boat is a 95 500 DA

Was the spray kicking up getting the dash wet?

If they are the standard Carling switches, they likely got salt water on them at some time and are sticking on. Cheap to buy and an easy fix to replace them.
