My motor went under warranty and the local Sea Ray dealer replaced it some years back. I had issues right after that as the motor seemed to rotate. I ended up just tightening the nut and for years it worked (barely).
Now it won't complete the cycle. It is one speed.
I am looking for help on;
1) Finding a heavier duty motor than the original - the last one would not move unless the window was wet. If you hit the switch my accident, the wiper would move half-way and stop.
The original part number is 663930 WIPER MOTOR, 100 DEG
2) Figuring out how to change this motor. I removed the light fixture in the structure over the stove. I can see the motor. It looks like it is only mounted by the shaft but there is a bracket at the motor end of the unit (away from the gearbox part with the shaft) which is NOT connected to anything. My common sense says there must be some way of securing this mounting bracket. If I can figure out how to remove this structure I may be able to see it better.
Has anybody had to do this on a 1998-2001 270 DA?
Thanks,
Mark
