This will be the first year winterizing our new to us 09 55 Sundancer. has a lot more stuff than our 98 450 had, Ice maker, washer/dryer and Man 900s. Always run the 100 through the Cats but the Mans look like they have drain plugs everywhere to get rid of the water. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'd put in the 100 if for nothing but corrosion protection. Those are some expensive pieces of machinery.

I use -50 pink for my 900 MANs, same engines as yours. I do not remove any drain plugs. Each engine takes approximately 20 gallons of antifreeze fed to the engines by gravity through the strainers. To completely winterize all of my 58 systems takes between 65-70 gallons of antifreeze.

I add 10-15 gals of pink to the water tank after blowing out the lines through the dock water connection and run the ice maker till it lakes (pink ice) and run the washer on WARM to get both hot /cold lines charged with antifreeze DONE

Thanks for the info !!

I'd buy that in bulk!!!

wow, and I thought I had to use a lot for our 410 versus the 290. Do you grab a couple 55 gallon drums per year?

I do, but not in 55 gallon drums. One gallon at a time. To do the the engines and generator I use a 32 gallon Rubbermaid plastic garbage can with a 1 1/2" hose connection and valve at the bottom and a fitting on top of the strainers to connect the hose and PVC pipe to. Takes me less than 30 seconds to winterize each engine (once everything is set up).

55 gallon drums are too heavy and awkward to handle. I'm not sure they are any cheaper than the gallon containers.

I would buy what you need early, I have it from a very reliable source, there is going to be a major shortage this year.
