The reason for the 6 gallons is for the mix ratio - but obviously the ratio can easily be adjusted. The amount of fuel doesn't really matter as long as the ratio is correct. Yes, you can store it away and reuse and long as it doesn't get water in it.
But... you didn't mention draining the engine before you ran the pink stuff through. That MUST be done, otherwise you end up with "some sort" of mix of water and AF inside which is no bueno. If you didn't drain the block, manifolds and fuel cooler... you get to re-do it
