Well the boat is tucked away for the winter and I've aquired a 1928 Model A Ford Tudor to keep me busy and out of the TV room for the winter. Should any of my fellow SeaRay owners have extra Model A parts, I would be very interested in buying them. I may be contacted via email and have a US address of a close friend in upper NY state for delivery. Any other SeaRay owners with the "A" bug?

thanks, dave

That sounds like a fun project. What kind of shape is it in? You looking at doing a full frame off restoration or is it in good enough shape that it just needs freshening up?

I would be interested in seeing pictures as you progress.

I love seeing pretty much any old car in good shape. They really stand out from the new stuff.

Dave,

My brother-in-law is an avid restorer...boats, cars, pick-up trucks, doesn't matter. His last project was a pick-up truck that he uses for everyday hauling in the summers when they aren't working. He also buys and sells parts on eBay, but I think he specializes in Cadillacs. I'll email him the link to this post, but they're on charter now and he probably won't see this for a while.

Here's a link to some photos of a couple of his projects:

Oh yeah, his biggest project to date is the 1956 65' Feadship (see the main webpage above) they currently charter in the Caribbean. He and my sister spent 3 years working 12-hours a day, 7-days-a-week rebuilding it after it burned out (they bought it burned out). While living on it.

I don't know if you're a hot-rodder or not, but you really should check out the current issue of HOT ROD. A fellow in Norway (or was it Sweden?) has built the ultimate sleeper '29 A. It looks absolutely stock from the outside, even APPEARS to have wooden spoked wheels on it, but it it has a injected Group 5 Cosworth rally engine in it, and it goes like stink! He even painted and detailed the engine to a vintage look. Even if sleepers aren't your thing, the level of detail and craftsmanship in this thing is just incredible. I believe the article is titled :The Deceptive Gentleman".

Good luck with your project!

Cheers,

Bill
