That looks nice! Looks like a fun, no ladders involved winter upgrade boating project.

Don't forget your new registration! :)

That looks great. I got my first jet ski a few years back and wondered why I waited to be in my 50's to ride one! Mine was a winter project too as I had to put a motor in it (Seadoo). I love riding these. I've already moved to a four stroke since I'm old and needed more comfort vs speed :).

How hard was it to paint the fiberglass? Was there a lot of prep work?

Nice job! looks new. I just listed my 2018 Spark with 46 hrs it never touched water in 2020 I’ll just ride someone else’s for the 15 mins I can stand it.

Not to hard. Both the black and the sliver is single stage paint then clear coat. As for preparing the fiberglass for paint. Just striped all the graphics then filled all the imperfections with regular body filler sanded and primed.
All in all maybe ten hours into it.

Yep they aren't for everyone that is for sure. The sparks do get you wet. The good thing on ours is you can ride it for hours and how it is designed only your feet get wet but that is on a lake. I dont know if I would want to own one if I was using it on the ocean.

Yep.
Water levels way down.
Under our slip is only 55 feet deep. It is usually around 80 to 100 at this time.
Lake is only going to go up 25 feet with spring run off and then drop 30 to 35 in July.
It will make for some Interesting boating this summer has lots and lots of new rocks coming about.
Here is two pictures. One of the main launch ramp.... it is closed and then one of the main walk way to the slips. Usally this time of year there is about 300 more feet of walk way.

No real snow pack in Colorado makes for very little run off.
However low water makes for amazing beaches and many new sites to see with the water down.

Last time it was down like this was 2006.

Good news for us north. With the main ramp closed it push’s all the Weekend warriors and new boaters south to your end. So we will have a nice quite summer on our end. :p

We leave tomorrow for a week there. That will mark our 40th day on the water this year.

One thing we do when we are out on the little boat. Save empty milk jugs at home. Each trip we will set out ten to fifteen as we find new underwater obstacles and obstructions to watch out for.
The park services use to keep up on it pretty good and we like doing our part to help out.

be safe and have a great season.

Sad things is we will never see full pool again. This was 1985 and 1986.

The lake hasn’t had this level since then. Last time it got close to that was around 1991 or 1992 if I remember.
From this picture to now it is 138 feet down.
