Snow, freezing rain, more snow more rain, -15...

Sadly, May 15th is pushing it... for me. I might get out earlier this year, but not much. You have to be wary of all of the debris in the lake from the ice-out and from the snow runoff out of the rivers, bringing entire trees and what-not down with them. Not to mention that the water temp is not much above 45 till after then.

A good 10 inches of snow in Southeastern Michigan last night. I just keep telling myself, lake fill, lake fill, lake fill!

Still LauCo,

I know there was a bunch of it. so, 10 inches was the official total?

Here's to higher water levels!

75 degrees here on Sunday.... Tues. 12 of snow at the house, this sucks...

Take heart guys.....winter is just trying to get in it's final licks before the weather turns nice again. Four years ago, right about this time, this is what my rear patio looked like right here in the good ol' Charlotte area. :wow::smt100

We had close to two feet of snow. It caused a lot of damage at our Marina too including collapsed roofs on covered docks and several boats being sunk as well as many boats being damaged.

So even here in the good old south old man winter can slam us at any time too.

-15 in Vermont today? That's just plain crazy.

It's close to 60 right now here in MA. The sun is shining and I have the Red Sox on the radio. It won't be long now. I can already hear the shrink wrap calling…

Who am I kidding? It’ll be at least a month before I’ll even consider opening her up.

I started polishing and waxing last night, to you guys that have large boats you can have them. Our first weekend at the lake is going to be the weekend of the 15th. But I am going to try and slip out prior to that to test everything since we have not started her up since we stopped going to the lake for low water early last year (if I can get her polished by then). It is getting closer that is for sure.

Someone has been sipping a little too much of the Cognac.:smt101

Stay warm, it hit a fridge 42 for the low this morning and I had to go back in and get my wind breaker. It was almost 3 this afternoon before it got up to 70 and I could take off my work wind breaker. (Yea I know, we got it rough down here in the south).

C'mon, Richard. Everything I said was absolutely true! It was beautiful yesterday. I may not get on the water for a while, but the shrink wrap's days are numbered.

Did your snow melt as quickly as ours did down this way? I was beautiful, but now it's cold again. With more snow called for tomorrow. I think I am going to the lake any way....we will stay at the condo and look out the windows.

stupid winter!!! Doesn't mother nature understand:huh: We want to go boating:thumbsup:

I usually go in between the 15th and Memorial day. I have no idea this year as I am definitely buying a new boat. Got my eye on a late 90s 310.

80 degrees, warm and sunny in Orlando today....oh and the Atlantic seems pretty full right about now as well. Planning on going out this weekend, if we have the time that is.

pffftt.... it got up to 27 today.... sunny and deep blue sky, it's going to 7 tonite... nice moon out tonite and a clear sky with brilliant stars! I saw trucks driving across the bay this weekend... so there's still a fair amount of ice on the lake, maybe 2-3' or so. Some of the channels are starting to open up under the bridges I've seen. Winter is slowly... very slowly giving up it's grip.

Ok.....I can't take it.
You guys need to find a career here. No water shortage. Ok yeah we get some rain....but come on -15? All our Lake are full if your scared of saltwater(Wesley)....and the saltwater locations are abundant and within between 1-3 hours depending on what type of location you want to go.....
