Well this is it, got an e-mail from my winter storage facility, they're setting up the haul out schedule. I'll be out on 10/10. We didn't miss a weekend, all were at least 3 days or more....where'd the summer go?:smt089

That sucks! October is a great month for cruising out here.

I couldn't imaging not being able to use my boat for half a year :smt089

November here up in Wisconsin. Always try to squeeze in a weekend or two in the cold. Great fall color cruises.

It's a great feeling to pull the boat on a nice October fall day. The gales of November are right around the corner, and we are usually enjoying a nice fire in the fireplace when they arrive. It's good to know the boat is clean, dry and warm when the rain is flying by sideways at 40 mph. We do other fun things when the boats get put away.

I beat all you guys. Mine went in the shed yesterday.

That crazy early Jeff, but hay, all good things have to end sometime. This summer was a great one, like Woody, we haven't missed a weekend until now. I'll will be at the Big House this Saturday watching Michigan crush UCF.....Go Blue!
We get hauled out 1st part of Oct., the boat needs a rest.

I do not have a date yet but probably about the middle of October for us. Can't say we didn't miss any weekends since we have baseball, family up north and such but agree with everyone else that this summer was great.

September 19th is our date. We haven't missed a weekend since Memorial Day. It's been a great summer. We couldn't have asked for a better one to spend on our new boat. I am looking forward to tucking it away for the off season though. The house needs some love. We will do some small upgrades and get ready for next summer's adventures.

Spent 50 years in Central Florida...boy do I miss those scalding summer days with 90% humidity day and nite. Weeks of dead calm to cool you down, and hurricanes to break the monotony! I remember 4 in a row during a three month period in 2005. :))

In the end, i couldnt boat, much less barely exist, outside for 4 months out of the year. Cant say I miss Florida boating. The mildew topside and bottom growth was also exponential compared to areas with seasons.

Gotta say the people are generally much friendlier though in your neck of the woods..and boat upkeep and dock space substantially cheaper. Oh ...and the water is warm enough to swim in year round...do miss that!

Every place has trade offs. I truly believe the coast of Maine is paradise on earth. Wouldnt trade the view for anything.

In south Central Kentucky we never take the boat out. We boat until the end of Oct. Then if we can catch a warm weekend. We go down and play golf and stay on the boat. Its not actually boating but it feels that way when you can get down in the middle of winter.

We haven't missed a single weekend since Easter weekend! A terrific summer on our new 450da

Three Boys and a Blonde. I believe I saw your boat in Charlevoix this summer?

I just finished booking everything. AMFM comes out the week of Oct 10th.

We we stayed in last year. Winterized everything and visited a few times. We got a big dump,of snow at Christmas, but that was it. We need to survey this spring and a hull bottom wash would be good.

pics in the 370 thread show AMFM two, weeks apart in Dec/Jan.

I really dont don't mind the few months off as work keeps me busy over the winter months. We can be back in April 1 I'd we want.

No plans to pull anytime soon. 90 degrees tomorrow and no end in sight in WV at this point. Plan on watching the Mountaineers on the boat tomorrow with a cold beverage or two. Probably put her away sometime in November depending on how things go. Enjoying our new to us 390 this year!

Now that I moved full-time to SW Florida, it sucks. I don't get a break from boating; with it being behind my house. I have to pay to get my bottom scraped every couple months AND my liver is going to self-destruct!
Sorry-too soon?...

I actually don't mind haul-out time, call me crazy! Us northerners actually get two boating seasons; actual on-the-water season and then tinkering season. I get just as much enjoyment out of tinkering and leisurely working on things in storage as I do out on the water in the summer. But I'm indoor heated, so maybe that's why.

Sometime the week of October 10th for us. Last year was our first offseason with it so I was a little excited to fix some things, upgrade, etc. This year sucks, I'll pour in the pink and call it a day. Hope to be back in by mid April. I HATE winter, although this year I'm going to launch the dinghy in the Erie Canal or the river a couple times and go for some late fall cruises. At least it gets me on the water.

Over the winter, I plan to take the rub rail off the boat and completely reseal it, as I get rain water in the bilge. (fortunately no where else, but I figure I might as well do the entire boat.)
.

Wondering how you figure rain comes through a rub rail? Wouldn't a more likely source of rain in the bilge be the vents for the engine compartment? Is the rail damaged or maybe a design issue with the joint? I thought the joint was a shoe box deign with the deck overlapping the hull.
