Does anyone in New England do any winter boating?

Our 270 SLX would not be ideal for this, but at the boat show we saw a pretty nice looking little Ranger R21 from Ranger Tugs.

Thought it would be a neat idea to putt around in during the winter, since New England is such a beautiful place year-round. This boat had an enclosed, heated pilothouse area. Very cool little boat.

The only things I've ever seen moving in the harbor are police/USCG vessels, LNG tankers, and the ferry boats. The marina is not passable due to all the lines criss crossing from dock to dock. If you fell in, it would be lights out.

We have marinas in the area that have quite a few boats in the water this time of year. All sorts of boats too, from 60 foot Hatteras yachts to skiffs to center consoles with three outboards on the back.

On a nice day in the winter, we always see a couple of boats out (non commercial).

It's hard to resist, in my opinion.
