Negotiating the purchase of a 2013 450 Sundancer with custom electronics.

I am being way premature here but I am negotiating the purchase of a new 450 Sundancer. I am can't wait to get out on the water. Got a question regarding outfitting the thing tho. Is it possible to put a small wine bottle cooler in it...maybe 6-8 bottle cooler? I have a small, non-permanently mounted on at home. With a few mods, could this be used on a yacht? What options do I have short of a very expensive permanently installed system?

Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it. Regarding the 450 I don't think many will speak to it in particular, there just is not enough experience yet. Good luck with the purchase!

You will love that boat! There is a place in the cockpit that might work for you. Under and to the left of the grill is dedicated storage for a cooler. It measures 12" wide, 15" tall, and 22" deep. You would need to wire power, but there is 120V outlet very close.

Maybe a better option is the cockpit refrigerator instead of the standard icemaker. It is a drawer type with dedicated space for 4 wine bottles (plus plenty of additional space if that is not enough.

Good luck with your purchase (best decision we've made)!

Damn thx. Great reply and very helpful. I know non-permanent wine coolers need ventilation to the sides back plus I am concerned about the door staying closed and bottles not breaking on the inside of the cooler.

What I didn't realize is that the cockpit fridge has wine bottle storage in it.

As stupid as it sounds, I am trying to buy a 450 Sundancer but have never been on one. I live in the Middle East and the dealer is in a nearby country and does not have the Sea Ray stocked.

All lessons in common sense aside, may I consult you for details of the yacht, user reviews, and pics? Are you on the boat often?

No problem. Boaters hate talking about their boat . I've got a few pics I can post next week.
