Hello. Does any one know what years/model windshield would fit a 1998 270DA(not the SE model)? I think I saw somewhere that only 98-01 270 work but wanted to know if maybe another size or year range might fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

98 to 01 were the only years for that model 270. I'm guessing you need to replace a broken glass? I'd say contact Taylor direct because finding a piece of glass that'll fit is going to be difficult.

Port side curved section is broken. Contacted Taylor and they no longer make it. They pointed me to Ocean Dynamics and they want $5k for the curved piece custom made. Didn’t know if 290 or 260 or others of similar years would fit.

Would your insurance pay for a broken windshield?

Bought it this way.
The custom price seems like it is line with what I have seen. You may have to pay it if there is not a salvage boat available. Hopefully your purchase price reflected the condition. Good luck with it.

I figured if there were more models that used the save windshield I could broaden my search for a used piece.

Maybe someone here can help with that info or better yet a salvage lead.

I though there might be someone that knows if another Brunswick boat had the same part installed.

FP Marine aka Flounder Pounder has one listed for four grand. I'd give them a call 321-639-2951

Thanks. I saw that. It’s the whole windshield. Was hoping to find a better price.

As noted, the rate you received is pretty much what it goes for - in other words, that's the "going rate".

If you can look (or download on SR's site) in your owners/parts manual and list the part number for the piece you're talking about, I can check to see if other models used the same piece.

You can't just buy a part of a windshield it'll never fit. I have a friend who had to have a section replaced but Taylor told the yard doing the repair that the entire windshield has to be replaced. They did end up replacing the complete windshield on the 290 AJ to the tune of 10K!

I’ve replaced single pieces in the past on a couple boats. Wasn’t an issue for me.
