Does anybody know who the manufacturer of the wiper motor is on 2000-ish Sundancers? Also, how the heck do you get the motor out? There is very little clearance/working room through the access panel in the salon ceiling. Also, the shaft must be able to be disconnected since the gear on the outside is bigger than the ID of the nut and the hole in the front deck. The threaded shaft that protrudes through the deck is stripped on one of mine and the nut that holds it in place will not tighten down enough to keep the motor in position during use. I hope I can just buy one OE motor and not have to update both sides since they are expensive and I rarely use them.

I got an equivalent replacement from AM Equipment.

It was a bear to replace, but I did it through the cabin dome light.

Hint. Stick your hand up there with a digital camera and take lots of pictures so you know what things should feel like. Once you have a pic of the old part number, then AM can cross reference it to one of theirs.

My splined end was smaller in diameter than the external nut, so it came right off. Can you put a spacer and another nut on it, that would catch some higher threads?

Good thinking on the spacer Ron, I am going to use a nut splitter to remove the nut. Both of them are steel and have rusted/deteriorated so bad that they are coming apart in chunks. Why in the world would they put steel fasteners on a windshield wiper???

OK...........I am now having to replace my port windshield wiper motor. It appears to be behind the valence panel over the galley. Has anyone removed this panel? There has to be a trick. Is it Christmas tree fasteners or screws? Any help would be appreciated.

Any results? How does the panel over the galley come off?
