Have an issue that may not be correctable but thought I would ask. I have a 2002 176 and the windshield has been resting on the fiberglass of the boat for a bit it seems. I was wondering if there was a way to adjust the windshield to stop further damage? The bottom of the windshield when closed has worn an L shape into the fiberglass because it has slid down or is not being held up as much as it did when the boat was built. I hope that makes sense. I have attempted to attach some pictures to help. Thanks for your time and knowledge.

There is a small screw on the edge of the windshield that must be either loose or gone allowing the window to slide down. I actually hit a wave so hard that my 180 sport flexed enough for the windshield to fall inside the frame so when pulling on it as hard as I could did not work I found the small screw. If you have trouble locating it let me know and I'll take a pic of where mine is (I'm at work right now and can't remember exactly where it is).

I see the screw that you are talking about and it is there and tight. Is there someway to adjust the windshield up with this screw? Looks like both frames are slotted and will not allow me to slide the window up a little and then re-tighten if that makes sense.

just install ticker foam gasket on frame of walk-thru windshield and will be cushioned by foam and not even touching gelcoat

I know most Marine stores sale gelcoat repair kits so I would think you could patch the area but I'm no expert.
