I need to replace the windows in my 1975 240 Weekender. They are approx 6"by 22". I also need the trim molding. Any suggestions where to find them?

I replace all six of mine. (you're talking about the portholes, right?) There is no exact replacement for them. I got some from an Ebay source called Searayguy13. He has an Ebay store. They were about $140 a pair, available in black or white. I did have to cut the holes slightly larger by about 3/8" all the way across the top. Use a dremel tool with a jigsaw attachment, and be prepared to go thru the blades. Bed them with black or white Lifecaulk polysulfide.

Opps, my mistake. It would help if I could read, must be the mad cow.

Last year I was able to order mine from my dealer, but he had to use a 1988 model year. I was lucky. The windows were $24 each and the trim ring was $19 each. I have 6 too. But I had to order 7 because the head has an inner window and outer window.

How long did it take you to cut out the 6 windowns:huh: I just got 6 from the searayman on ebay I have a 1977 300 weekender..... I could not find them anywhere but ebay, and belive me I looked.

It was not too bad, maybe 20 minutes each. Did it in the slip with the boat tied tight to one side. Make sure you tape the fiberglass and mark your pattern. The tape will help the gelcoat from chipping.

Here's a picture of it in the paint shop after the windows were enlarged. It appeared to me like the originals were bedded in silicone. Try to get all of that off before bedding in your new windows. The window corners are not goint to be exactly at the same angle either. What I did was apply the bedding sealant on the window frame, then fit the window. This is a two person operation as someone needs to be on the inside of the boat to fit the trim ring before you start drilling and running in new screws. Otherwise you will never get the trim rings on. After the window is screwed in place (leave the excess sealant squeezed out around the frame), remove the trim ring and fill in any space between the frame and the hullside from inside and snap the trim ring back on. After the bedding has cured, then remove the excess from the outside of the frame.
