Windows 8.1. Worth downloading or just skip it?

My laptop has Windows 8, which I really HATE. The reasons I hate it are too numerous to list so I won't bother.

I keep getting these popups to download Windows 8.1. My question to you is, is Windows 8.1 worth the download, or should I just keep deleting the popups?

I hated win 8 also, have had this laptop HP x2 Split since Jan with 8.1 they fixed almost all the bugs haven't had any issues with 8.1...Download it it's free from Microsoft.
