Windlass not working

Can anyone shed some light? I have a 2001 sea ray Sundance 310 that the windlass is not working. When I push switch up or down it clicks at the fuse on port side where battery switches are. Where should I begin?

Check your main thermal fuse near the batteries to make sure power is going to the control box.

I don't know the location of your fuse I have a different boat but definitely the.place to start . The breaker gets tired and may need replacement . Use the right amperage rated fuse or risk fire . Last year my mom's old trawler had a fire I believe was caused by a breaker of too high an amperage.
