Today I replaced the motor for my Lofrans Windlass Progress One anchor.

I connected all the cables (red and black) but there is one additional green cable remaining that needs to be connected and I am not sure where or what it should be connected too.

Can anyone help here? Where should this green cable in the anchor locker be connected?

I looked at a friend's (SeaRay Sundancer) boat and the green cable was connected to one of the motor's terminals ..... that is, the bolt that connects the motor to the gear box. The green cable was connected to a bolt which connects the motor to the gearbox..... Is that correct?

That would be correct. As stated above, the green cable is for grounding your windlass motor. It needs to be connected to the metal of your engine.
