Just a follow up to the Windlass issue. I ordered a new motor from good windlass for $250… this purchase was recommended by a company that I had reached out to rebuild the current one.
Pulled the windlass and swapped the motor, the new motor is a bit shorter and, from what I can tell spins a bit faster and is a little bit louder that the current one, put the windlass back together back together, installed to the deck, and all is good.
