Windlass Breaker Trip

Hi all,

Out yesterday in my Sundancer 280 & windlass breaker tripped as soon as I went to pull the anchor up. Happened almost immediately so unlikely that motor was overloaded.

Any clues as to why ?

Paul,

Is your model 280 Sundancer the same as sold in the US? Working on the assumption your 280 is the same model as mine. By breaker do you mean the breaker on the aft EIM (low amp control circuit, or the in line breaker (high amp circuit) mounted to the electrical board near the EIM?

Have you tried contacting the Australian importer/distributor of Lofrans? The US distributor Imtra (Imtra.com) provides excellent support.
