002.jpgAre you tired of the wimpy Sea Ray horn; you know the one, the one that sounds like the old “Road Runner” cartoon? Well I changed mine today with this one here, it fits right in, and best of all sounds like a horn. Now it is no rail road air horn mind you, but at least it is loud. I got it at our marina and it is made by “Seachoice”, model number 14571. It comes complete with everything, including a new front grill. Big improvement over that "Beep-Beep" thing!

I hope the guys at Sea Ray take note. Not only is it important to be heard when you sound the horn, the sound it makes it a reflection of the boats quality and manlyness.

Would it be too much to ask for a video with sound??? If so, I understand. I never have liked the sound of the stock horn.

If I could figure out my smart phone! Funny as a programmer for a living a never mess with all the fancy things on my phone! Anyway this thing sounds like a loud car horn, a major difference from the original equipped horn!

Last year I did a CG safety inspection, the Coastie doing the test actually laughed when he heard our duck horn.

Exact same thing happened to me this past weekend, so pulled a little air horn out of my dinghy, let loose a load blast, and he congratulations you just passed:smt043

I kept one of those air horns at my helm. On the occasion that I did need a horn I used it instead. I sure was not getting their attention with the road runner beep-beep!

Thanks for the post Hack !! Just ordered one also, this will be a big improvement for sure. Maybe now when some idiot cuts me off they won't laugh when I hit the horn. Hand gestures may still be needed!

That looks like the factory one out of my boat... I had to replace mine because it filled with water after the admiral took a brush to the grill and ripped the protective mesh. I ordered a replacement from serayman13 on eBay. Thanks for the new source!

I'm going to install one of those, but I want to keep my duck horn because it makes people smile.

well... they're laughing at it... but at least they look happy.

I book marked the replacement horn... My external trumpet horn died, and this is a less expensive alternative to replacing my trumpet... My aflack horn works, and because I rarily use the horn, it is not a priority to replace it... Thanks for the post...

Would love to hear this bad boy... I'm embarrassed by the horn, very sad indeed.

I have the same horn. Happy with it.
