Why all the aluminum trailer bashing?

Am I one of the bashers? I made a comment on the "what happened to my trailer" thread but it had nothing to do with aluminum. It had to do with poorly designed, poorly constructed trailers such as the one the OP in that thread purchased...his happened to be aluminum.

This thread is not about a particular post but several general comments I have seen expressing the opinion aluminum trailers are not a good option for boaters. I started a new thread instead of posting in a previous one to see what others thought. After some of the opinions casually expressed I thought this was a good discussion thread, but have been surprised at the lack of differing opinion.
