I think the winter doldrums have started for many folks so thoughts of buying another boat have to be running thru a lot of folks minds about now. So what is everyone going to consider buying? (Don't look at me............I already bought mine and still have one to sell too  )

I'm done buying for some years to come. Took delivery in mid October and the beast is being hauled next week. Only 4 1/2 months to suffer.

I will go to a couple of boat shows this winter to select equipment including a RIB dinghy. But I've stopped dreaming of a bigger boat.

I'm toying with the idea of a 3600 Sovran.

sbw1 you are so cheap, pull out the bucks and get the 4800.

Dave you are instigating a buying frenzy.

Jeff, you know that 60 is calling you. Beautiful 58!

For me I made a diversity move, two Yamaha Jet Ski's went under my early Christmas Tree. They are warm and clean, ready for the spring to arrive.

Can someone tell me when spring will get here?

I don't know if I AM but I know that I WANT to buy new (used) boat...at this point, it's a matter of the right deal happening....... whether I market my current boat for sale and then buy or the right oppurtunity to trade comes along.....

I'm nearly certain I won't (bought a new boat in early 2006), but I'll look nevertheless. There is a dealer party this weekend, and the Portland & Seattle boat shows in January. I'll be looking at bigger Sea Rays and learning what I can about trawlers.

Hey Dave you are going to have to get some jet skies like Richard and I when you sell your 240SD.

I wish SeaRay would sell the 240 Sun Sport in States, you can still purchase it outside the United States. Really nice looking sport boat and still easy to trailer like my 240SD/Cruiser

I would like to get into a 380 or larger, but I am not sure we will since we have our first (true) new born coming in four weeks ... I would also have to trade the 340 and that's usually not a good deal ... osd, maybe we can work somethin out :smt101 know someone for my 340??

Just thought I would chime in. We to are learning about trawlers for our retirement. Just my .02. Try dana point california and take a look a the Nordhavn trawlers. Extremely sea worthy. Can get knocked over and keep going. www.nordhavn.com I go over every chance I get and the folks know that I am years away yet they always have the time to answer questions and take me on a tour of what the have.

Well you can get orders like I did from the Admiral.... buy wetsuits!! now get out on those Waverunners!

Up here in the North...were still diving in the Atlantic.... I dive wetsuit.....5mil with hood and gloves.....bottom temp this past week....in 85 ft....is mid 50's....the dry suit guys are warm, but they can't drink any hot coffee topside before they go in...

Buy another boat.... sure, why not. Mine's for sale and if it sells, I'll be looking for a 290-340 depending on price. COME ON SUMMER, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!!!

Let's let this dream live a little. The sooner we get to summer the sooner we'll be B*tching about fuel prices :smt021
I'll be going to the boat show for sure...but no solid plans to uprade as yet

My dry suit has a relief valve... AAAAHHHHHHH !!!!!!!
Just be careful swimming downstream

I've been keeping my eyes open. It looks like the best time to buy a (used) boat is now...the best time to sell a boat is late spring. True?

I'm looking to upgrade a couple of feet at least, if I find a great deal like I did on my current one. Like to get to a 210-220-240ish, to make the ride a bit more comfortable in the waves for my kids and give us more room for "stuff". But then that means I'll have two boats, and I'm not so sure that is "allowable", if you know what I mean. :smt001
