I had a nice run in the boat today thanks to my full enclosure, photo taken after I got back home from the run. The enclosure sure makes it real nice in this cool weather, going out again tomorrow, sun is supposed to be shining tomorrow so I will have to open the windows to get some air flow.

Nice!

I was out on the boat at the dock today. For years, I have been commenting how the houses on the base just down from our marina are on million dollar lots. Now, I have my own million dollar lot, for only a $1/4 million! (Just kidding, not quite that much).

Anyway, I agree. With the canvas up, it's like being in a greenhouse with an ocean view.

I washed the truck today to get all the salt off....29 degrees out....hands were about ready to fall off....

Does this count? :smt001

The top is custom made, there was not a factory option for the 185. I had to have it made, a local business, Big B Specialty Fabrication in Bloomingdale made it for me. If you notice the U shaped line in the side panels, those are zip up windows that he put in, also there are strips of Sunbrella perfectly lined up with the bimini frame so it does not rub on the Strataglass. That also gives access to the side so I can tie the fender to the center cleat from inside.

I spent the last 2 weeks in Florida....out of 13 days, we were on the water 6 of them, usually with clear skys and a 5 kt wind with temps in the low 60's..........the water was so clear we saw a crab walking on the bottom in 35 ft of water...........maybe that's why its called a boater's paradise!

Does the water taxi in Ft. Lauderdale count?, were were on that most of last night! Renting a center-console today.

Out on Saturday

We took our 44 EB from Delray down to Lake Boca at about 4:30 PM. The ocean was so flat that we decided to take a run outside down to Hillsboro inlet and let the 3116's breath a little. It was beautiful! The sun was setting when we pulled into the inlet. Then we cruised up to the Cove restaurant, had a snack and went back to Lake Boca. We anchored (gorgeous evening) and watched the Gator/Kentucky game.

What an evening!

Frank - let me know the next time you're heading my way. Maybe we can get together.

Yesterday afternoon, we took the boat over to Shell Island and walked on the beach. I was quite beautiful. We noted the time when we left because we wanted to be in the slip to enjoy sunset.

We weren't in a hurry, but I did note the time. We were walking on the beach at 4:51 and in the slip tied up at 5:28 enjoying a cold drink. That was fast, I thought.

The island is about 1/4 mile wide at that point. The beach is on the far side.

The last rays of daylight were leaving the ski at roughly 7 p.m. last night. Just think in 29 more days it will be sunny longer! :smt038

I was today and ran into this funny stuff on the lake. Don't think you would find it that often in FL. It was hard and MS Judy did not want to go though it :smt100 Anybody know what it is :smt017 I'm afraid its something that has drifted down from the north.

We had a great day on the water today. We watched all the blow botes run their obstacle courses and just generally relaxed. It was a nice and toasty 73 degrees under the camper enclosure and about 50 degree outside under Carolina Blue skies. Our water temperature is 46 degrees so we don't have any of that clear hard stuff on the lake that Chuck fiound today. :smt021

Out again today. Saw your boat, Frank. Eric pointed it out to me. Beautiful.

Sorry about the double post - did anyone else see that sunset today in PC Beach, Fl?????????????????????????????????????

Spectacular deep, deep, deep red with streaks and blue and some white. It lasted for about a half hour - maybe more.

That's what life's all about.

Well, my son and I were on the dock fishing. Every year about this time the neighbors get thewake board boat out and start skiing. This year was no different there they were wet suits and all.

My next door neighbor had his pontoon boat out today. As it "powered up", my son commented that our boat is a lot faster. I guess I could have been politically correct and responded by saying son it's not how fast your boat goes, but how much quality time you spend with blah, blah blah..... Instead, I took the bait and said well ofcourse it is. It's SeaRay powered by a 260 HP, Fuel Injected, 5.7 Liter V-8, spinnng a stainless steel propeller   .

I was out on Saturday, just took a ride from home to the Atlantic Ocean and back, had to come back a little different route since I have a low bridge on the short route, yesterday was clean up day. It sure was nice to be off work and spend a little time on the boat, then Monday comes along and back to work. At least I have a job to complain about.
