Who owns the fastest Sea Ray

If you really want to talk about fast speeds, there's a guy about 70 miles north of here that has a 36' Skater with twin 1800's that's supposed to run north of 170!

Weren't the 63's with the 3412 Cats, and Arnesons supposed to go north of 55?

I don't care who you are, unless you have a Magnum, a 63 doing those speeds is the winner!

My van is SLOW. I can barely crack 35 kts. Plus whenever I try to go fast I break something. Fast is not for me, its for someone else. I like slow.

I can hit 54.9 on GPS, trimmed up, banging off the rev limiter and exhaust open in my 210 select. I have have 350 Mag in it. I could get a little closer to 60 if I change my prop and take my bimini top down. Not bad for a "Family" boat!!

before I had her bottom painted my 280 SS hit 57 on GPS. Now I hit around 50 - 51 WOT but i rarely if ever go there.

My 2011 250SLX w/8.2 (502) is supposed to do 56-58. I had dealer do all they could do to get it there but I believe all they did was tamper with the RPM and speedo. I have pushed it to 62 acording to speedo but I am thinking low 50's actual. After it runs out of warrentte it will do 60!

Perhaps I should reconsider the wet-slip arrangments I have; get the paint off and get the boat on a lift!

I know you guys will probably call BS, but I had our 320 to 57 on gps this Sunday.surprised the hell out of me!

I believe it, a friend at my club has a 340 wtih 8.1 inboards that hits 50. I was shocked when he told me but that is a lot of HP

I know its not a Sea Ray but a Regal 2700 which is a 29' boat will do 63 GPS with a stock 375 hp 496. And 65+ with a 496 HO motor. The Fast Tab hull is hard to beat for ride, handling, fuel economy and speed.

I've got a Pachanga 27 twin 496ho on bravo 1 drives ran.on GPS at 86 mph 1/4 tank of fuel very flat water easily does over 70mph every time..

Problem with really fast boats is you can pass anything on the water

except the fuel dock

And they can only do these speeds under ideal conditions. Put them out on Lake Michigan in 2-3 footers and most cruisers doing 25 knots for 10 hours will will outrun them in a minute or two.

Personal experience but not an owner.
Those of you that have been around the Sea Ray brand for a while may remember the 630 SSS. It was a boat sold in the 1990's and in factory form had the Detroit 12V92's but some spec'd out with the big MTU's and I understand some with Rolls Royce then in the late 90's the big Cat 12 cylinder engines; keep me straight on this @Capt. Rusty Higgins . For the most part they were the "rage" of the rich and famous and many were custom built at the SR Sikes Creek plant for the owners. They built them with straight drives, Arneson Surface Drives and some with KaMeWa jet drives. I have a friend who was one of the SR delivery captains in the early 90's (not Rusty my other good captain friend) and we had many opportunities to run those boats. Bad to the bone for a boat in the 90's is an understatement; I've personally been at the wheel at 50 knots in one of these big boats optioned with the bigger engine and surface drives. I don't know what they weigh but definitely in the 90000 pound class.... This boat wins!
