I want to replace my wiper arms and blades. So many choices..... My arms measure 26 inches and blades 26 inches and they are simple straight arms. So I need some help to select the best configuration for the replacements.

Thanks

ttmott, are you looking for a different design than what came on the boat as a way of improving the performance of the wipers?

I would suggest you take one of your wiper arms and blades to a diesel truck repair shop and see what they have.

My SUVs both have rear window blades for flat windows. Are they the same as on a boat?

BOE MArine....they are the SITE OWNER

From what I can tell, at least the ones on my boat with curved glass, are more in the "truck" line of wipers; size and configuration.

Tom I got exact replacements from a local RV dealer. They used the same blades on the big motor coaches.

I appreciate that, however, a more appropriate response would be something like "XXX carries all that in stock" with a link rather than a poke in the eye. And, I'm quite familiar with the good people there; in fact they provided me a complete electronics and nav. suite for the 400DA a couple of months ago.

I'm not normally so abrupt, but it's only the 19th September since I posted the link in basically the same topic thread.
Not frustrated at you, a little let down, by people on here that not even a moderator can post the link......I could say long term member as well, but I guess that counts me in...

Time for me to take a break obviously.

Well, as it end's up I've been to three RV parts stores (two on line and one local), two bus/truck parts parts stores (one on line and one local) and about every internet hit with about ten different search patterns.... And, just about all of the larger marine supply sites. All say they can research and find what I need but, in the end, AM Equipment seems the only one who provides all the parts for applications with the "tapered knurl" pivot pin configuration (which is common for the larger Sea Rays). They also provide all the parts and pieces for the drive assemblies and their wiper arms have the J-Hook ends for compatibility to the more modern wiper blade assemblies. Their site (amequipment.com) is not exactly the easiest to search on so just click on their "shop for replacement parts" button and it's all there. Hopefully this helps others also. BTW, thanks all for the leads!

How did you get the arm off? I am just getting in to this project. Did AM give you what you needed? Easy project? I assume there is a part that is hiding a nut that I can't find.

Any help is appreciated! Did you got black or stainless?

Took the nut off raised the arm up and lightly pried it off of the shaft - both came right off.
I went ahead and also pulled the wiper motors and replaced the wear items there also.
AM had everything; they are a SR supplier as it ends up. The wiper assemblies are stainless and painted black. I got the ones with the integrated sprayer and also added a complete AM window washer system. Everything was very easy except installing the washer system. New switch on helm, washer bottle in port storage cabinet next to ice maker. Had to pull the solon head liner down to route hose and wire and drill new holes near the wipers for the water fitting. Washer switch went where the old autopilot switch was. All looks original.....

Just FYI - my local Sea Ray dealer gave me a parts list for our boat and I was able to find the part number for the 32" windshield wiper blades - 1783937. (This is for our 2010 450DA.)

I did find the blades for $33.38 plus free shipping on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C5SQ1CQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00 (Not sure if it's okay to post links or not.) This is a far better deal than the $72.00 X 2 that I was quoted from Sea Ray (plus $25 shipping and $5 handling).

I'm not a cheapskate but how can they get away with $25 in the age of Amazon Prime?
