Queen Creek, AZ
We'll be there twice in June and once in July and a sundry of quickie weekend trips up there.

I'm bringing my boat up to Lake Powell to dry store it there next Wednesday.

Anybody else going up there this summer?

I was just at Wahweap about 10 days ago. Remembered my camera, but somehow forgot to bring my boat. :smt013
Which part of the lake are you going to?

Photos are 'clickly'.
Huh? Clickly? :smt017

Hopefully, I'll be there in June and again in September.

We store our boat (as of next Wednesday) in Big Water and either launch at Stateline or Wahweap, whichever has better water conditions.

We usually just putz around on the southern end of the lake, find a beach for the day for lunch and exploration, then head back to the marina. We usually stay at the Day's Inn in Page...Toby doesn't camp anymore, I'm a weenie!

My parents usually drag their Winnebago up there and camp at Wahweap campground, so after a day with them, I need some time with just my family...I'm usually fed up with geriatric parents by then! :smt013

Dave M. Some would consider it a crime to be at Lake Powell without you boat. Maybe use a stickum to remind you to leave the camera and bring the boat next time.

Lake Powell

I know that this post is old but I have a question about visiting Lake Powell in November or December. Due to knee surgery hanging us up for the summer boating season. We have postponed vacations and are considering taking a vacation from Northern California for about 2 weeks and visit the Lake Powell. We will be towing a fifth wheel trailer and am considering renting a boat there. What would the weather be like and what marina should we use? Any suggestions would be greately appreciated.

Was there last October and really loved all the facilities. Went from wahweap to bull frog and back. The weather was great. I live in Arizona and as we get into November Its possible for a cold front to move in. If your planning a houseboat this will not be a problem. Most people I know that go there love the fall as the summer grouds are gone and the temps are great still.

I would go to Wahweap Marina, or the new one Antelope Point.

Weather that time of year will be very cold, as in freezing at night, and high 40's to low 60's in the day.

However, storms are uncommon, the air is usually very still, and the sun's angle accentuate's the beauty of the area.

Oh, and the lake is usually as flat as a mirror.

If you go, you won't forget it.

Thanks for the quick responses. I think that it will be worthwhile just to see all of the beautiful scenery. I know that it won't be very warm. I didn't know about Antelope Point and will look it up. Any recommendations for RV parks or parks with hookups that are close to the lake?
