New to us 340 and not really impressing with the uber tight princess 3 burners in a small space plus one of the 3 doesn't work. I do love the flip top but looking online and not seeing anything that would fit in that space easily with a 2 burner...which seem to be long and slender.

Anyone find a direction replacement for have a sweet mod?

We took our stovetop completely OUT....did not like the idea of the contained fuel cans so, asked husband if we could just cover it...we had a box made to fit with a nice top to match rest of galley...now use it for storing garbage bags, can coozies, etc. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the extra storage!

Mine is electric. I appreciate your time but your response doesn't help me with my need!!!

I swapped that out many years ago. I put in a princess twin burner stove top and put teak around the front. I had it like that for over 10 yrs. It was one of the first things I did. Bad choice of photos but you get the idea. I just sold that boat other wise I'd take a better shot, sorry :)

Hello cwellington that sounds great, would love to see some pictures of the mod!

I removed my dual electric/alcohol and replaced with an induction burner. Had some stainless laser cut to fit the opening.
I went from never using the electric to using the induction all the time :)

I replaced ours with a Wallis stove/Heater, I would be happy to send you a picture

Was that a table top induction and you made it into a built in? I like the idea of induction and see many options...many counter top too!

I replaced our original Princess alcohol/electric stove with a CookMate 4200 non-pressurized alcohol stove. We have been extremely pleased with it's simplicity and cooking results.
With installation I had to steal the outer frame from the Princess to frame the existing hole. The new stove had rounded corners that did not quite cover the opening.
